Addo Elephant National Park is one of South Africa's iconic national park. It was established to save 11 elephants on the brink of extinction, and is now home to over 600 happy and healthy elephants. Besides that, there are also buffalo, lions, hyenas and meerkats to be spotted in the park.
Addo is rated as one of the best places in Africa to see elephants up close.
Some trees in the Addo park have strategically placed bee boxes to help protect them from being eaten by elephants.
The park stretches to the sea and protects marine ecosystems, including islands that are home to colonies of African penguins.
