Take a walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a community owned project. After a quick briefing, the guide takes you for a nice 4.5km walk (or shorter if needed), and stops at various plants, birds and animals. the wetlands count 7 species of monkey as well as above 200 birds, making it a little piece of paradise for visitors and animals alike. Don't forget to have a look at the crafts after your walk, it's all made by local women.

Chimpanzee trekking is one of the highlights in Uganda, and you will quickly understand why! After a briefing with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority, each group gets assigned a guide and two armed rangers, then starts its journey in the deep forest of Kibale National Park, also known as the "primate capital of the world". You will definitely hear the chimps before you get to see them, as they're warning each other of Human presence - don't get scared by the loud noises, your guide knows its way through the forest! Once you find them, you get to spend an hour with them, whether they're feeding in the trees, on the ground, or moving around. Enjoy each minute!

Uganda is home to a stunning array of crater lakes, which are formed in volcanic calderas or by volcanic explosions.The lakes offer breathtaking views and opportunities for hiking, photography, and nature walks. They are even safe to swim in, as no crocodiles or hippos live in their waters! Amongst the most famous ones are lake Nyinambuga which features on the UGX 20,000 note, lake Nkuruba and its views of the Rwenzori mountains, and lake Bunyonyi.
